Foster Goes Faster Again

15 Feb 2010

Sandy Bay's Ryan Foster has continued his record breaking spree in the USA, this time bettering his Australian indoor 800m record.

Foster ran 1:47.32, to better his two week old Australian record.  His spree is very impressive, given the existing record was over 40 years old, held by then Olympic Champion Ralph Doubell.

The downside is, it will not be considered for a new national mark, due to the track in Seattle being out of specification.

21 year old Foster was pushed all the way, eventually finishing third in the race behind Andrew Wheating who ran 1:46.36 and David Torrence who ran 1:47.16.
