STATE PRIMARY SCHOOLS ATHLETICS TEAM ANNOUNCED

 

 

Athletics Tasmania today announced the selection of the 28 athletes to represent Tasmania at the 2006 School Sport Australia Track and Field Exchange to be held in Cairns, Queensland from 23 to 26 November.

 

The team was chosen following a selection competition held at the Domain Athletic Centre in Hobart last Sunday. The selected team comprises:

 

GIRLS – 10 Years

Susanna Cox (Landsdowne Crescent) – 100m, 200m, HJ, LJ, 4x100m

Freda Dub (Golden Street Primary) – 100m, 4x100m

Claire McClenaghan (Norwood Primary) - DT

Zoe Moss (Landsdowne Crescent) – 800m

Caitlin Newson (Kingston Primary) – 100m, 200m, 4x100m

Georgia Parry (St Bridgetts Primary) – 800m [or multi event]

Rebecca Wells (Mt Stuart Primary) – 100m, 200m, LJ, 4x100m

Mikayla Genge (St Theresa’s Primary) – SP, DT

Cara Tilyard (St Johns Primary) – 800m
