Coaching for Juniors

Olympic offers a number of coaching opportunities in the summer for athletics and in the winter for cross country.  This is in addition to our club night.

We have training options for 7 year olds through to college age, seniors and masters - so there's something for everyone from young kids through to adults.  



We're privileged to have specialist coaching each week day afternoon from Amanda Goldsmith for 7 years and over.

Training covers sprints, starts, long jump, endurance, relays, high jump (age 10+), hurdles (age 12+).

Things to note

  • Times may vary in school holidays. Check Heja app for latest information and for cancellations.
  • You don't need to go to all the trainings - just pick the ones you want to go to.
  • Siblings can attend the same session (please contact Amanda to arrange).
  • Juniors is 7-10 years, Seniors is 11-15 years
  • Some parent help is required at each session.
  • It is important to RSVP on the Heja app so Amanda knows how many athletes are attending. You only RSVP if you are going, it is not essential to say you're not coming.

Olympic has built up a strong middle distance group of runners who run track in the summer and cross country and road in the winter. Great training for the school cross country season. Lots of fun training with others in a team environment with kids of all ages and abilities. We have training groups for everyone so don't worry if you're just starting out.
