Perth is located approximately 30 minutes from Baseball Park, Thornlie.

  • Perth Cat Buses -  The Cat buses will take you on a loop through the city fee of charge.
  • Kings Park - Perfect for beautiful photographic views of the city or a picnic lunch/dinner. There are several spots through the park to sit and watch around you or for the kids to play on the playgrounds. Tours available.
  • Elizabeth Quay - Perth's newest attraction on the river, a good place to look around and relax. There are also places to eat and drink.
  • The Bell Tower - situated beteen Elizabeth Quay and the Barrack St Jetty you can just look at the tower or pay to go inside.  
  • Barrack St Jetty - Catch a ferry to South Perth for the Zoo or take a Cruise on the Swan River. There are also Cafes and restaurants here.

Fremantle is located approximately 30 minutes from Baseball Park, Thornlie.

  • Markets - with fresh produce and stalls selling indigenous items, souvenirs, clothing etc. Open: Friday to Sunday 8am to 6pm
  • Cappuccino Strip - South Terrace, Fremantle, WA. Take a walk along the Terrace and you will find shops, cafe's, restaurants and pubs. There are also places to eat in the side streets

South of the River

  • Cohunu Koala Park - Lot 103 Nettleton Rd, Byford, WA. Open 10am to 5pm daily. Cost: Adult (13yo +) $15; Child $5
  • Araluen Botanic Park - Open 9am to 6pm. Cost: $Adult 6; Child $3. 
  • Penguin Island - Take a trip to Rockingham to get to Penguin Island. You can take a trip straight to the Island or a tour on a feery or glass bottom boats (prices vary).
