Presidents Shield

The Presidents Shield is open to all members and uses the Ratings system from The Archer's Diary.

Ratings Competition

The Rating's Competition is open to all members using your preferred bow. To enter, just shoot and score the OzBow 30/720 round (72 arrows on the large target face at 30m) any time in the month. Write 'Ratings Comp' at the top and place your completed score card in the Inbox. You can enter as many times as you like in a month, so you get more chances to improve your score. We use the handicap system from your rating, so you get to compete against all levels of archer. Results are announced below.

 

Bow types

Compound Bow

Barebow Compound
Barebow compound is shot mainly in Field Archery, but is also very popular for Target, Indoor and Clout. The bow is shot without the use of sight and only one (short) stabiliser. Barebow compound is not recognised outside of Australia. Archery Australia has specific rules relating to Barebow Compound.

Recurve Bow
The "Recurve Bow" is the bow that can be shot in all events and is the only equipment eligible at the Olympic Games. For more information visit Archery Australia.
