Welcome to Queensland Masters Athletics

Queensland Masters Athletics Association (QMA) promotes fitness, fun and friendship through a range of athletic activities for everyone, from beginner to age group elite standard. Membership starts from 30 years through to 100+.

Competition is conducted in 5 year age divisions, .e.g. M40-44, W55-59. The association currently has around 400 members from all walks of life, all levels of ability and all parts of Queensland and northern New South Wales.

QMA DECATHLON AND HEPTATHLON CHAMPIONSHIPS

2nd & 3rd February 2019 – Brisbane State Athletics Facility (SAF)

In a QMA initiative to expose more athletes to Decathlon/Heptathlon competitions, we will be trialling a modified program during this year’s QMA Decathlon/Heptathlon Championships.

There will be three options at this year’s competition to enable more people to experience these events:

Option 1 –    Decathlon/Heptathlon QMA Championship for Registered Masters Athletes
The Championship events are open to all QMA athletes as well as athletes from 30 years of age registered to any State, Interstate or International Masters Athletic Association.

Option 2 –    Special Decathlon/Heptathlon Competition where Athletes may compete in either the Heptathlon or Decathlon.
Registered athletes under 30 years of age are also welcome to compete in the Special Decathlon/Heptathlon.

Option 3 Team Decathlon/Heptathlon Competition

ENTRIES FOR THESE THREE OPTIONS CLOSE ON 27th JANUARY. Details of how to enter are given on the program.

There will be other events on the program both days for athletes not participating in any of the above options.

2018-19 QMA Season Membership

Membership renewal for South Queensland members for 2018 -19 was due on 1st October. 

All members competing at Brisbane or Gold Coast competitions or other designated master's athletics competitions are required to be current financial members of QMA, so renew here now: QMA Registration

Members are also reminded of the importance of being financial and registered members of QMA for insurance purposes.
