Athletics Wairarapa runs a summer Athletics program for Children, Youth and Adults of ALL ages and ability.
The 2019/20 summer season starts back up on Wednesday 16th October at 5:45pm
We hope to see you there.
Athletics Wairarapa summer program caters for Social and Competitive Athletes, with a focus on FUN sessions for our youngest members.
We hold weekly Club Nights, and an annual Club Championship at the end of the season for all members.
Club nights are held in Masterton every Wednesday night at the All Weather Track (Colin Pugh Sports Bowl) starting at 5:45pm for everyone and running until 7pm with younger athletes free to leave as early as they require.
At our club nights we provide instruction and advice from trained and experienced coaches on a range of track and field events.
Our "Athlete Academy" is available for competitive athletes that want to take their training to a higher level.
As a competitive member of Athletics Wairarapa you can also gain access to Interclub, Regional and National events.
During winter an Athletics Wairarapa membership will give you access to the Winter Cross Country events
run by Athletics & Cycling Masterton (ACM).
At the beginning of each season (October) we also run a 6 week Athletics Program at Carrington Park, Carterton.
It covers a range of track and field events, with a focus on FUN and participation while teaching the basic techniques for these event.
The cost of the program is $20, and starts on Wed 23rd October 4-5pm. Online registrations available here, or you can register on the night.
At the end of the program participants have the option to upgrade to a Social or Competitive Wairarapa Athletics membership at a discounted rate, allowing them to participate in our club nights at the Masterton All Weather Track and other activities.

At each club night we aim to record the results of some of the activities so you can track your progress and improvements across the season.
We rely on the help of parents in order to do this, so give us a hand on club nights to do this.
