We had a number of Mentone Athletes represent Victoria at the All Schools National Track and Field Championships in Canberra on the weekend.
In extremely hot and dry conditions....
Kate Wilcock U14G. Bronze in 4x100m relay, 4th in Hurdles (AV Record) and 6th in LJ.
Emily Ryan U13G. 4th in U14 SP.
Stefan Nel U16B. 10th in U18 HJ.
Kisarna Berntsen U15G. 10th in U16 Jav.
Zoe Cunningham U15G. 11th in U16 LJ.
Nick Grech U15B. 20th U16 LJ.
Jess Welford U16G. 18th in U18G 400m hurdles (after leading her heat, hitting 2nd last hurdles and falling - a courageous effort getting up and finishing the race).
We also had Athletes who assisted Mentone Girls' Secondary College win a Silver Medal at the Australian All Schools Knockout - Junior Division competition, also in Canberra.
Zoe Cunningham - 1st LJ, 2nd in 4x200m relay and 3rd in 90m Hurdles (equal Any Venue record time)
Kisi Berntsen - 1st Jav, 2nd 4x200m relay, 4th in 800m
Emily Ryan - 1st Shot Put
Milly Webster - 2nd in 4x200m relay, 11th in 100m
Teiki Waata - 2nd in 4x200m relay, 21st in 100m
And finally, there were so many Athletes who achieved a significant number of PB's at Round 8 I've had to include them in a separate document.
Well Done Athletes!
