Senior League Wrap
The Cronulla SL squad played its final game of the District Cup tournament on Sunday against Hills. The game was certainly not the squad’s best performance of the tournament with a loss of 0-10. An impartial observer may have made the comment that the difference on the day was the Hills batters found the gaps and the Cronulla batters found the fielders. Overall the boys from Cronulla finished the District Cup with a record of 3 wins and 3 losses. The organisers of the District Cup should be congratulated for organising a great tournament as a prelude to the BNSW State Championships. The Cronulla team to compete in the State Championships in late December at Chapman Gardens Kingswood NSW was announced earlier this week. Congratulations to all of the players selected. The team is certainly looking forward to competing at the State Championships with the aim of securing a spot at the National Championships to be held in the early part of 2016. Head coach Pete Munro and assistant coach Steve Gallagher will be working the team very hard over the next 8 weeks to have them primed to achieve the goal of getting to the National Championships.
