Female Dragons fly past Bombers

After a couple of tough weeks with narrow losses to Springvale & league leaders Footscray, Doncaster women came to play against Essendon at Deep Creek reserve last Saturday.

The girls started well by scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning, thanks to our top order showing the way.

Essendon were unable to contribute to the score board until the 4th dig, due to Doncaster's strong defensive work on the field.

Doncaster collected many hits on the day and a lot more runs on the board, to run away with a comfortable win at the end of the day, final score Doncaster over powered Essendon 13-2.

Doncaster take on ladder leaders Footscray on Thursday night at Altona.  This should be another great game and an opportunity to come and see some of the state's best women players go head to head.
