Men's 3rds score first win, Beacom debuts for Women's 1sts and Rookie Green carry the can for the U/12's.

The drought is over for the Men's 3rds who took their first win of the year backed by a complete game shut out by of all people, Todd Messinger! Filling in this week as the club was short handed at the higher levels the Captain answered the call! Usually a fielder his variety of off speed pitches kept the Royals off the board for the day and the Dragons in front. In front of a good crowd he was backed by some superb fielding which included Corey McGeary, playing Centre Field who threw out the same runner attempting to score, twice! The second for the last out of the game!

Rising Australian star Gen Beacom was a welcome addition to the Women's 1sts this week as they powered to an 11-4 win over Footscray. We look forward to seeing her on the mound soon and it will something not to miss!

Junior results were thin this week but a lot of very close games that could've gone either way. U/18 Metro got the win and U/12 Green the only win in Rookie Ball this week.

This Tuesday sees the Men play another mid week game at 6.30 with news filtering through that Mitch Ellis makes his welcome return to Deep Creek after a clean outing on the weekend!

No report from the weekend other than excellent pitching by Boyd, Chen, Ellis and McGrath.
