MWBL Week 16 Results

Sullivan Steele said I'm walkin' here as he smoked a single over the centre fielders head to send the 3rds into a spin with a win over Research on the weekend! After leading all day only for Research to score 5 and tie it up in the top of the last the team had their backs to the wall but found something when former Pres Craig Hutton led off with a single and then stole second. A Brayden Henderson single put runners at the corners bringing Sully to the plate and bring Hutto home.
The 4ths have shown some improvement this year with a 15 all draw but had news confirmed that the result last week was overturned due to game time being exceeded and they were accredited with their second win for the year.
What looks like a close result was anything but with the scores reverting back after a rain delay at the 80 min mark. The Dragons came out breathing fire in the cold conditions and despite paying only 1 1/2 innings were actually up 22-5 when the game was called. Home runs to Marcel D'Avoine and new dad Brendan McDonald stood out in a game where most players got damaging hits.
The U/15's season came to an end whilst the to U/17 units will begin the playoffs this week. LGD!
