MWBL Week 6 results

We now sit atop the A Grade ladder! In just a few short months since winning the B Grade Premiership our boys are showing they are more than capable at this level! Playing in memory of Life member Daryl Lacey who passed away last week, the Dragons took on the top placed Forest Hill. Despite spotting an early 3-0 lead to the Eagles we clawed our way back and then put the hammer down with a 6 run inning to back a complete game effort by Fraser Boyd! Coach Daniel McGrath was hot with the bat and he was ably assisted with great batting throughout the order. Next week sees us take on an in form Ringwood.
The 2nds were also down (8-2) but then clawed their way back to run out 9-8 winners. A top of the table clash awaits next week.
President Craig Hutton got a hit for each of his children in a big win over his employer with the Steele brothers (Sully 3 for 4 and Ben) providing a solid structure in the hitting line up.
The Yang brothers had a day out in the juniors with Kai-Er (U/17 Green) going 2 for 3 and pitching 3 strong digs for only 1 earned run in a 10-7 win while younger brother Kai-Jie also pitched well for the U/15's. Kai-Jie combined with Nathan Healy to chalk up the U/15's first point of the season. Same breakfast for the boys next week Mrs. Yang!
