A 'Refreshed' Era for the Club

The Club conducted a Special General Meeting on Sunday, 26 June, 2022.

The purpose of the meeting was to consider the adoption of a new Constitution, to align with present-day governance principles and to ensure the Club can operate effectively going forward.

The Constitution provides for the election of a Board (without defining positions/offices). The elected Board members then determine who is best suited from within their ranks to oversee the various portfolios.

Ideally, each Board Member will have just one "job". In addition, members of the Club will be recruited to undertake various roles to ensure the smooth running of operations. Again, ideally each person will only have one task - it might as simple as making sure the flags/signs are out... or picking up the drinks for the canteen from the supermarket.

It will be a work in progress, but with everyone's co-operation, it will be a positive experience!

The meeting was preceded by a sausage sizzle - expertly produced by Glynn, with encouragement from Sam and Graeme.

Refer to the 2022 AGM calendar item for information about the meeting and Nominating.
