Archers Selected for 2020 Oceania, but... (updated)

17 March Update:

Unfortunately, advice has been received today that international archery events are postponed until further notice because of the COVID-19  situation.

In addition, Archery Australia has advised that the National Youth Archery Championships to be held in Burnie, Tasmania (15-22 April) is also postponed.

While this will be disappointing for our members who were due to compete, it is hoped their ambitions can be finally realised later in the year.

12 March:

The World Archery Oceania Target Archery Championships are to be held in Fiji from 5-9 April.

EDEN members Rory Blake and Charl Du Plessis have been selected for the Australian Team and join two other South Australians in the 28 person team. The team comprises Open & Youth team archers.

Rory will be competing as part of the Aussie 5-person Open Compound Team and Charl is one-third of the Australian Barebow Recurve Team.

We wish them well and extend our CONGRATULATIONS! We are also crossing our fingers that the event will actualy proceed, given the current COVID-19 situation.
