Doncaster Dragon Lewis Thorpe has been selected for the MLB Futures game, a curtain raiser to the MLB All Star game.

Lewis is in the Minnesota Twins minor league system and currently pitches for the Double-A side the Chattanooga Lookouts.

Fellow Australian and Oakland Athletics prospect Alex Wells was also selected to the Futures squad.

Lewis joins an elite list of Aussie’s to have played in the game including current Melbounre Aces GM Justin Huber and current Forest Hill right fielder Travis Blackley.

The selection is another highlight in what has already been a stellar year for Lewis, after he made multiple appearances for the Twins in spring training earlier this year.
