Support the Amy Gillett Foundation in promoting shared respect and safety on our roads

The Amy Gillett Foundation is an official benefitting charity of the Big Canberra Bike Ride incorporating Amy’s Ride. The mission of the Amy Gillett Foundation is safe bicycling in Australia. Our vision is zero bicycling-related fatalities. One of the key Foundation programs underpinning these aims is the "Remembering Amy for a Reason" Program.

Our challenge now is to fund the expansion of the “Remembering Amy for a Reason" program across Australia in order to give as many of our next generation the opportunity to participate. To do this, our objective is to raise over $100,000 through fundraising from The Big Canberra Bike Ride incorporating Amy’s Ride.

Become a fundraiser through your registration of Big Canberra Bike Ride incorporating Amy’s Ride or sponsor a rider or make a donation to the Amy Gillett Foundation.

You can help the Heart Foundation continue to save lives from heart attack

The Heart Foundation is the official charity beneficiary of the Big Canberra Bike Ride incorporating Amy’s Ride.

The Heart Foundations role is to prevent heart disease from adversely affecting our lives and to educate and inspire all Australians to be responsible for their heart health. We believe “everyone should have a good heart”. Over 90% of our work is funded by donations from Australians so we do what we do for the heart health of all Australians.

The Heart Foundation’s Warning Signs of Heart Attack campaign aims to save lives by informing people about the warning signs and encouraging them to respond quickly by calling Triple Zero. Each year around 55,000 Australians suffer a heart attack (that’s one every 10 minutes) and claims 10,335 lives (an average of 28 each day).

We need your support to keep this campaign going in the ACT in 2012 and beyond and together we can continue to help save lives. Please help us raise $50,000 in the Big Canberra Bike Ride incorporating Amy’s Ride.
