Our meetings

Club weekly meetings are the core of our fellowship
where we socialise, have a meal, listen to a guest speaker and discuss Club business

Woden Rotary meets most Wednesday evenings 6 pm for 6:15 until 8 pm

Visitors and friends always welcome

Normally we meet over a meal at:
Canberra Irish Club
6 Parkinson Street, Weston ACT 2611

(Meeting location at X in adjacent map)

Please advise if attending (for catering purposes) by emailing or phoning our meeting manager before 5 pm on the Monday - contact details on home page (right hand column)

Sometimes we meet elsewhere at cafes, work places, and other places of interest to members.
The Raven and this website home page right hand column are used to advise members and others of changes to our meeting locations.

Typical meeting format:

  • Socialising until meeting starts
  • Welcome and introductions of visitors
  • Some Club business while awaiting delivery of the meal
  • Meal and fellowship
  • If necessary, a bit more Club business
  • Sergeant’s session – light-hearted fines and two-up
  • Guest speaker
  • Questions to guest speaker
  • Close – members mingle and then leave

And we have social meetings:

  • Annual present’s barbecue in January
  • Others as the mood takes us

Partners and friends are welcome at any meeting – especially when there are special speakers or a visiting group.
If coming, it would be nice if you could advise our meeting manager - contact details on to home page (right hand column) - but that is not mandatory and if you just turn up you will be welcome and be able to join in and get a meal.

If you would like to address the Club meeting, contact us

We enjoy friendship and one another’s company while participating in our service activities and club projects
