Competition Format
Primary  

Format:

Round Robin   

Round 1:       10:00am

Round 2:       11:30am 

Round 3:       1:00pm

Note:  These times are an indication only

Match Format:

All matches will be played as the best of five, rally point sets.  The first four sets will be played to 25 points with a two point advantage.  The fifth set, if played, will be played to 15 points with a two point advantage.

There will not be a time limit imposed on matches, however, warm ups will be restricted to 5 minutes.

Prior to the start of each set, coaches must provide the scorers with names, numbers and positions of players in the starting line-up.  Rules relating to the number of substitutes and the manner of making same will be enforced.

Officials:

First and second (net) referees will be provided.

Duty Requirements:

Each team must provide for duty on the games they are involved in:

·        A competent  scorer;

Player Restrictions:

A maximum of 10 players can be used for the day.

Winner:

The winning team will be determined on matches won.

If all 3 teams win one match, sets % will be used to determine placings:

Total Sets ‘For’ / Total Set ‘Played’ (Sets ‘For’ + Sets ‘Against’).

If two or more teams have the same Sets %, then Points % will be used to separate them.

Total Points ‘For’ / Total Points ‘Played’ (Points ‘For’ + Points ‘Against’).

The maximum number of players used for the day is 15. Teams may nominate a libero player for each set and still have 12 substitutions to choose from (12 subs can be made).

  NOTE:  An up to date team sheet must be handed to the convener on the day of competition. This team sheet must include players’ uniform numbers.
