Competition Format

Round Robin

Teams are ‘District Representative’ teams of two players who have qualified through from their Conference Finals.

Players are to be seeded with the best player being seeded ‘Number 1’ and the second best player ‘Number 2’.

The #1 ranked player of each team will play each other and the #2 ranked player of each team will play each other in singles matches.

All singles matches will be the best of 3 sets (first to 6 with a tie break at 6 all).

If a match stands at one rubber each at the end of singles, then a single set doubles match is to be played first to 6 with tie break at 6 all.

The winning team will be decided on matches won.

If all three teams win one match, then the total number of sets won will be compared to determine the winning team.

If the number of sets won is equal, then the total number of games won will be compared to determine the winning team.

Secondary

Format:	Team Round Robin
Match Format:	Matches are to consist of 6 sets, 4 singles & 2 doubles. Each set is to be 6 games, with a tie-breaker at 5 games all. Teams to consist of 4-8 seeded players. All seedings must be adhered to. Changing of seedings will result in forfeiture of the relevant matches or forfeiture of the round or disqualification, at the Convener’s discretion. In all matches, 4 seeded singles and 2 doubles games will be played. Any pairings may be used for the doubles to comprise a First Pair and a Second Pair. Players are restricted to one singles game and one doubles game in each match. Teams must nominate their doubles pairings before the start of play in each match. Pairs may be changed following the singles by mutual agreement of the two coaches involved. The Convener has the right to halt play in any match once a result has been determined.
Match Winner:	Winners will be determined on number of sets won. If equal, then games won. If still equal, then a draw shall be declared.
Winning Team:	The winning team will be decided on matches won. If all three teams win one match, then the total number of sets won will be compared to determine the winning team. If the number of sets won is equal, then the total number of games won will be compared to determine the winning team.
