Format:

Round Robin

Match Format:

'A' and 'B' Teams: Schools may provide 2 teams - where the 'A' team is the stronger of the two teams.

If a school enters only one team, it must be entered as an 'A' team.

To be eligible to play in the Region Netball Girls 'B' Finals a player may not have played more than one game in the 'A' team during the season (unless both the 'A' and 'B' teams are playing in the finals).

Duration of Games:

4 x 8 min quarters - 1min 1/4 time - 3 min 1/2 time - 1 min 3/4 time

Champions:

The winning team will be decided on matches won.  If two teams are tied on matches won then the team that won the head-to-head match between the two tied teams will be declared the champions.  If the head-to-head match was tied, or more than two teams are equal on the number of matches won, then percentage will be used to determine the winning team.

Lateness Penalty:

If a team is late for the start of their match and, in the convener’s opinion, their lateness makes the draw impracticable, the team will be penalised 1 point per minute they are late up to half time when they will forfeit the match.

Dress:

Players must wear matching skirts or shorts, matching tops with contrasting bibs.  Teams are asked to bring alternative bibs if possible.

Jewellery may not be worn.  Nails must be short or taped with approved tape.
