Under 15 Girls & Boys VSSC: Thursday 5th May 2011,  8:15am - 3:30pm

Under 18 Girls, Boys & Mixed VSSC: Friday 6th May 2011, 8:15am - 3:30pm

  • $200 per team (GST inclusive) or
  • $170 per team (GST inclusive) if the school supplies a qualified referee (non player/team official) to officiate three games on the day.
  • A school only requires one qualified referee and can nominate more than one team and be entitled to $170 per team fee.

A Level 1 Referee’s course will be conducted in April 2011 free of charge for schools to nominate one person to attend. This will ensure compliance that a School has a qualified referee (non player/team official)

Touch will be conducted under the rules of Touch Football Australia Playing Rules,      7th Edition Handbook.

Touch is a six (6) a side competition. Fourteen (14) players maximum per team.

Draws, scoring systems, game durations will be determined by the number of team entries.

Teams may substitute at any time, but must enter/exit the field by a 20m sub-box.

All team members must be in uniform (without pockets), with numbers on the back at least 16cm in height. No jewellery is to be worn.  Fingernails should be taped or trimmed.


Footwear: Screw-in studs or studs / moulded soles longer than 1cm in length are not permitted.



The Convener has the power to disqualify teams for poor conduct from either players or coaches with a written report being forwarded to the offending school.

Team sheet:

An up to date team sheet must be handed to the convener on the day of competition. This team sheet must include player personal details uniform numbers, and availability for state selection.


State Team Selection:

The Victorian Schools Championships also provide Victorian selectors with the opportunity to identify upcoming talent in the sport.  Students who show potential in this area will be invited to attend the state selection trials from which the U15 & U18 Victorian State Representative teams will be selected. 


Students wishing to nominate require parental approval to ensure only ‘available’ selected players are selected into training squads. All available players are to be highlighted by the Team Contact.
