Scheduled Courses:

C Level Accreditation

To achieve this level of qualification, there is a multiple choice, open book exam which is based on the IAAF Handbook. C Level qualification is the minimum required to officiate at State Championships or Athletics Australia events.

Bendigo

Jumps - Thursday 21st November - 6pm - 9.30pm Applications Close Friday 15th November

Knox

Track - Sunday 8th December - 8:30am - 1pm

Jumps - Sunday 8th December - 1:30pm - 5.30pm

Attend two discipline specific information sessions and successfully complete the subsequent open-book quizzes, and you’ll be a fully credentialed Athletics Australia Level C Official and recipient of the voucher. Also, for each session and quiz you successfully complete, you’ll immediately be eligible to earn cash as a Victorian official in that specific discipline at school meets.

B Level Accreditation

To achieve a B Level qualification, you will need to have held your C Level qualification for at least 12 months. The B Level test is a written short answer test. After passing the B exam you will be required to do 10 or 15 competition days of practical experience depending on the exam.

A Level Accreditation

This is the highest qualification level in Australia. To achieve an A Level, you will need to have held your B Level qualification for at least 2 years. The exam is an in-depth written exam that tests knowledge of the rules, as well a person's ability to interpret the rules and make decisions about incidents based on them. Interpretation of the rules is a key part of being an event referee or chief. You will also be required to do 15 competition days of practical experience.
