Caulfield is now registering U8-U17 athletes for the 2022-23 Relay Season

• Mentone Relay carnival - Sunday 20th November 2022 (U8-U17)
• SMR Region Relays - Saturday 3rd December 2022 (U9-U17)
• State Relays - Saturday 4th February 2023 (U9-U17)

Registrations through this portal will close Sunday the 13th of November, at 9:00pm.

With a return to normality following several COVID impacted seasons, we welcome and encourage all U8-U17 Caulfield athletes to participate in relays this season. 
Relay Registration is included in your centre membership fee and there are no additional fees to register. 
If you register and attend, you will be included in teams to race.  Relays are great fun and can lead to deep bonds between athletes and their families. Don't miss out!!!

This year sees a return to the full range of events - 4x100m, 4x100m Mixed, 4x200m, 4x200m Mixed & Swedish Medleys (100m,300m,200m,400m).

To participate and represent Caulfield LAC in relays you must be a financial member of the Caulfield Little Athletics Centre.
If your child is competing at Region or State you will need to complete a duty.
Duties and timeslots will be available for you to select once the timetable is finalised.

It is expected that athletes who compete at Region Relays on the 3rd December will also be available for State Relays on the 4th February (should the team qualify to progress). 

• In the event that an athlete is only available for Region Relays and not State, another athlete from the same age group will be elevated to the team should the team qualify to progress
• Conversely, should an athlete be unavailable at Region, but available for State only, a decision will be made by the Relays Sub-Committe as to whether team changes can be made for State (should a team progress)
    

Caulfield will also be submitting teams into the traditional Mentone Relay day, including U8's. 
This event provides a final training run for relay teams entered in the Region Relays and an introduction to relays for Under 8 athletes, and best of all, there are no duty requirements! Just bring a chair, sit back and enjoy the day!
While attendance at training and participation at the Mentone Relay day is not mandatory it is encouraged and may inform final team selections.

Note: Structured relay training will be run following the regular weekly training schedule organised by the club from 6:30pm-7:00pm. Keep an eye on the newsletters for commencement date information.

Instructions for the Registration Portal

• The portal accepts one athlete registration at a time.  If you have multiple family members entering, complete any athlete registration first and prior to submitting you will be able to add additional athlete registrations. 
• Upon submitting your registration you will receive a confirmation email detailing your entry.  This will contain instructions for withdrawing or changing entry details should you need. 
• Selection of final teams will be by the Caulfield LAC sub-committee.  Team selections will be confirmed closer to the date of relays.
