James Preston back on track after injuries
Promising middle-distance talent James Preston has re-emerged to the competitive arena following an injury-riddled 2017. Here the Wellington-based two-lap athlete tells Steve Landells about his difficult journey and why he now believes he is a much-improved athlete.
The latest from the Commonwealth Games team has seen some good and bad news. We’ve had discus thrower Siositina Hakeai added to the team (and reaching her conditional performance last night) and hammer thrower Julia Ratcliffe reaching the conditional requirements of her selection. On the other side of the ledger, we’ve had the withdrawl of 1500m star Nick Willis forced out of the team by injury.
