Summer athletics is in full swing with many events around the country for children, school athletes, Masters and everyone in between. We hope you are enjoying your athletics whether you are taking part, coaching, officiating, organising or just following the sport.

There’s still one more New Zealand Championship event before the end of 2017, the NZ Half Marathon Championships in Kerikeri this Saturday. There’s also the NZ Secondary Schools Championships. Lots to keep everyone busy!

In this issue of Athletics in Action we chat with Lilli Burdon about life at the University of Oregon and her plans for this season, we look at the innovative work going on at the Port Hills Athletic Club and we catch up with Auckland long jumper / sprinter Matthew Wyatt for our “Five minutes with …” segment.
There's much more in this issue of Athletics in Action, so keep reading.
