High Performance Topics
A recent Development Camp was held in Auckland for Athletics NZ Performance Potential Squad (PPS) members and other selected athletes. Nineteen athletes and 15 coaches along with Athletics NZ and HPSNZ support staff were at the successful camp. The main topic was ‘transitioning into High Performance’, with presentations and discussions centring around the ‘four fundamental elements’ to maximise athletes chances of reaching their own potential. There was a focus on performance behaviours, resilience and training environment needs and challenges. It's great to be supporting emerging talent in the sport!
We’re rolling out selection policies for 2018 international events over the next two months. The first is the Oceania Half Marathon Champs - keep an eye out for more on the 2018 Competitions page
