This weekend is shaping up as one of the busiest of the year for the sport of Athletics.
We have the Athletics NZ Club Connect Conference for clubs on Saturday, the Athletics New Zealand Annual General Meeting on the Sunday morning and the New Zealand Cross Country Championships following that. On Monday morning the NZL World Mountain Running Team will be in action at the world championships in Premana, Italy.

In this issue of Athletics in Action we talk to Zane Robertson ahead of the IAAF World Championships, we hear from Daniel Balchin, one of the athletes to watch at the New Zealand Cross Country Champs this weekend and we catch up with pole vaulter Olivia McTaggart for our “Five minutes with …” segment.

Zane is one of 12 Kiwi athletes representing New Zealand at the IAAF World Championships starting next week in the London Olympic Stadium. You can find out about the rest of the team in this issue too.

There's much more in this issue of Athletics in Action, so keep reading.
