Well, the Grade 12 & 13 Interprovincial is behind us now, just the World Masters Games to go in Auckland starting this weekend!

You may have seen from our Weekly Roundup, there are plenty of Kiwi athletes in action in the USA. There's a mixture of athletes on scholarships, tour groups and individual athletes chasing post season competition.

So it's full steam ahead for the winter season now with some of the traditional Cross Country races coming up very soon. The biggest one of them all, the NZ Secondary Schools XC Champs is just eight weeks away.

In this issue of Athletics in Action we talk to javelin thrower Tori Peeters, we chat to three Kiwi athletes taking part in the World Masters Games and we catch up with Para sprinter Jacob Phillips for our “Five minutes with …” segment.

There's much more news in this issue of Athletics in Action, so keep reading.

Rankings & Records

We've entered the results that satisfy the relevant criteria from the North and South Island Secondary Schools Championships and the Grade 12/13 Interprovincials as well as recent USA results, so our rankings are up to date.

The latter parts of this season have been particularly hectic and our statistician has been very busy. Consequently,  there have been many new profiles added and numerous changes in ranking positions. There are now over 77,100 performances in our system from 3,775 athletes.
