Are you ready for your Region Track and Field Championships this weekend?

Hey MEMBERFIRSTNAME,

The Region Track and Field Championships are being held this weekend across all seven Regions.

If you are competing this weekend there are a few important things to remember.

SUBWAY Patch
Every athlete who competes at the Region and State Track and Field Championships must wear their weekly SUBWAY registration patch, as pictured below.

The SUBWAY registration patch is to be worn everytime an athlete competes at Little Athletics, which includes Centre, Region, State and Open Day competitions.

Jetstar Patch
Every uniform top is to have an orange Jetstar patch or sublimated logo (white, black or orange) above the Little Athletics Victoria logo.

Uniform & Spikes
View the Championship Uniform & Spikes Guidelines document to ensure you're wearing the correct uniform and footwear.

Timetables
View the Region Track and Field Championships event page and follow the link to your Region for a final Timetable. Please take note of Call Room times.

Call Room
If your Call Room time isn’t listed on your Regions timetable, the close times are 20 minutes for track events & 30 minutes for field.

Competition Rules
Please have a look at the Little Athletics Victoria Competition Rules appropriate to your event.

Qualifying for States
The first placed athlete per Region per event will automatically qualify for the State Track & Field Championships (11th & 12th March at Lakeside Stadium). The rest of the field will be made up of the next best performances from across all Regions to complete the field of 24 athletes (16 athletes only in 800m events). There are eligibility standards for High Jump and Walk events, so please see the Competition Rules (page 43 & 46).

On Thursday 23rd of February (COB) a list of initial qualifiers for State Track & Field Championships will be available on the Little Athletics Victoria website.

Centre Duties
Thank you in advance for completing your allocated parent duty. The events wouldn’t run without volunteer support. We do ask that when you perform your duty to please wear enclosed footwear and the minimum age to fulfil these positions is 16 years.

Medical Assistance
If your child requires assistance during the Championships due to medical reasons, please inform the your Region and Little Athletics Victoria before the weekend. If they’ve had a recent bone fracture and still intend to compete with a cast, you will be required to receive written medical clearance before the event.

Weather
There is forecast to be a variety of weather conditions across the State this Saturday and Sunday. Please ensure you dress appropriately for the conditions. Be sun smart and stay well hydrated.

Good luck and enjoy the Championships!
