Survey
Athletics New Zealand in conjunction with Sport New Zealand is undertaking a research programme to find out how members view their experience with their club, aiming to understand what is important to members and how clubs are performing.
In the next few weeks members will receive an email from Nielson inviting them to take part in the survey with a link to the Nielsen survey. Nielsen, an independent research company, is carrying out this confidential survey on behalf of Sport New Zealand and results will not be reported in a way that will allow members to be individually identified.
The survey will only take around 10 minutes to complete. It’s very important that as many members as possible complete the survey, as the results will provide guidance to Athletics New Zealand on how we can help clubs improve the experience of their members. Thanks.
Rankings
After a thorough investigation, the Records Advisory Committee, have established a list of 5000m track walk performances that are the best performances for the event and age. These performances will be documented/ratified as records 50 days after the first publication of this list, unless the performance is challenged with a superior performance. The submission of a superior performance will have to be accompanied by documentation that would enable the performance to be ratified as a record under the current Regulations.

It’s compiled by Murray McKinnon who spends hours each week tracking down Kiwi performances around the world. It comes out each Monday.
