International Series launched
Last week we announced a three-meeting series of innovative events that will make up the International Athletics Series starting on 19 February in Christchurch and finishing up on 26 February on the North Shore of Auckland. The series is designed to promote athletics and showcase some of our Olympic stars with two of the three events to be held in public spaces, rather than at athletics tracks.

Congratulations to pole vaulter Nick Southgate, winner of the NZOC Yvette Williams scholarship for 2017 and 800m runner James Preston, winner of the Bryan Taylor Memorial scholarship. Upcoming NZ Championship Events
Entries are now open for the next three New Zealand Championship events. The NZ 3000m Champs for juniors and seniors, along with the NZ 10,000m championships take place in January in Whanganui, Wellington and Inglewood respectively. In February, we have the NZ Combined Event championships in Dunedin.
