|The majority of running injuries are overuse problems. One part of the body that seems particularly susceptible to these injuries is the knee. With up to 3-5 times bodyweight force going through the limb thousands of times with each step in a run, it isn’t surprising the knee can be stirred up. For knees, "pushing through the pain” is rarely a good option, unlike some other minor injuries that can be ignored.
