Home Games next three weekends
Crocs Junior teams have Home Games this Saturday and the Crocs Seniors teams have Home Games over the next three weekends.
There are two games of juniors and the Under 18s Boys play as well this Saturday morning and then five games of Seniors on Sunday. Next weekend the Seniors teams again have five games on the Sunday and the following Saturday five games. All SDFC members have free entry. They are great days a good chance to bring the whole family down to support the Crocs.
The club though urgently needs volunteers and the three weekends in a row of games at home put a lot of work load onto a few people. The club needs as many helpers as possible on these days so volunteers do not get burnt out and the clubs loses them. Please contact the club even if you can only help out for a couple of hours it will make a big difference.
Volunteers are required to help with the Canteen and Bar this weekend. Canteen helpers need to wear closed in shoes. Helpers are needed anytime Saturday morning until lunch and anytime all day on Sunday. Scoreboard helpers are required and will get free drink and snacks after game/s.
Please help out the Crocs anyway you can. All SDFC 2016/17 members receive free entry.

Time Keepers Course
Another way that may interest you in volunteering at games is time keeping. It is a very easy job in all grades being quite a simple job to help out. And if you can help out is another way to take the stress off aother volunteers and you get to sit in the sahde sometimes airconed too. And if you are looking for a bit more the Premier League is more of a challenge but rewarding.
There is a course being help at this Thursday 6pm at Kantilla’s in the TIO Stadium at Marrara. Please contact the club asap if you would like to attend.
If you are at games and take photos please sahre them with us on Facebook. It would be great to see some photos of the Crocs teams playing. Click on the photos below to see more pics on the SDFCCROCS facebook page
To launch the 2016/17 season the NT News printed Football liftout. The SDFC page is very impressive. If you would like a copy of the liftout contact the club and you can pick it up or get it posted to you, the liftout is free. There is plenty available.

Keep the 3rd of December free in your calendar
The upcoming 2016/17 NTFL season marks the 10th anniversary of the 2006/07 NTFL season SDFC Premier League and Under 16s Premierships. It is also the only season the SDFC has played in the Reserve Grade Grand Final but lost to Waratah. If anyone has any photos or clips or stories from that season it would be great to share.
There will be function held on the 3rd of December and more info will be out in the newsletters soon. For further inquiries via a facebook page please click here
The Crocs still require a Under 16s Div Two and Under 14s Div Two Coach. This will take the pressure off other people who are currently helping out. If you are interested please contact the club even if you don’t know any of the players. It is a great way to meet people and build personal development. Full training is provided and you will enjoy yourself. A great opportunity for current or past senior players to help out. Also need people to help out with the Under 18s and Premier League team management. Maybe a challenge that you are looking for or a way of keeping off the couch during the AFL off season or maybe away from the lawnmowing.... anyone can help out. Please contact the club to help out or even suggest someone.
Matt Cannard the Premier League Captain is the Under 18s Coach and has supplied a brief report of their game on Saturday when they started their season with a 133 point win. This team needs helpers. Match Report
CROCSTV is here
A new great online resource is now here for the CROCS fans. Each week we will try and get up highlights from previous weeks games and some from the past seasons. They will be uploaded onto Youtube currently and if popular hopefully have more up on a dedicated page on the clubs website.
NEWS from the AFLNT
A great round of footy to kickstart the season, thanks to everyone who pitched in at Asbuild and we are hearing positive things from Nightcliff and Waratah.
I would like to touch base on a few points:
On line scores
In line with feedback from potential Free To Air (FTA) broadcast partners we would like to aim for all scores and best players to be submitted online within 1 hour of all games being completed.
On the whole, the bibs were received quite well by clubs and we thank you for that.
The following issues have been identified:
These problems will be addressed immediately and we will keep you up to date on the progress.
Again, this concept was received quite well by clubs with most feedback suggesting it was a simple task and from our point of view, this was very effective.
Registrations & Transfers
Everyone at AFLNT wants to see as many players participating in matches every weekend.
With this in mind and as with previous seasons, we make a commitment to have all registrations and transfers processed by 5pm on the last business day before each round.
After this time registrations and transfers cannot be guaranteed.
We have not yet received all club nominations for club complaints officers.
It is extremely important that all clubs appoint their complaints officers so that we can work with this volunteer throughout the year.
This is the person who will be your ‘go to person’ for all complaints and referrals and all things tribunal.
We want to work with clubs to make sure everyone is being represented and that no club is being denied the opportunity to make a complaint or refer an incident because they were unaware of the process.
Overall it was a great start to the season and we are looking forward to Round 2.
