We’re counting down to the start of the 52nd Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon with less than 50 days to go til New Zealand’s iconic and most loved marathon is underway! The Mental Health Foundation are working towards a New Zealand where everyone flourishes. We are the most trusted source of information for Kiwis on how to cope with mental illnesses and distress.   We help all Kiwis learn how to look after their mental health.

It’s less than 50 days to go till race day. And, keeping in mind that it takes about 21 days for our bodies to properly adapt to new training, we only have four weeks of solid marathon prep ahead of us for the Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon.
So it’s officially crunch time! And time especially to nail those long runs.

Listen out for our latest radio campaign on the Hits promoting the Rotorua Marathon. It’s all over the airwaves in the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua for the month of March. It’s time to knock off that bucket list you always said you wanted to do. But if you're local and you can’t make it out on the day to run or walk, we’d love you to come on out and support the competitors and participants on the day.
One of the special things about the Lion Foundation Rotorua Marathon is the amazing atmosphere and friendly welcome all the runners receive. It’s what makes the event so special and a favourite on the national running circuit every year.
