NSW 3000m Champs & Community Fun Run supported by The Running Hub, Potts Point
ES Marks Field, Sat 7 Nov

The NSW 3000m Championships will be held at ES Marks Field, Randwick on Sat 7 Nov. Non member recreational runners are also welcome to enter the Community 3000m races. Entries are now open. Click here to enter and for more information. Online entries close midnight Thu 5 Nov. Thank you to The Running Hub at Potts Point for supporting both this event.

 

Treloar Shield 4
Saturday 7 November


The fourth round of the 2015 Treloar Shield will be on Saturday 7 November at ES Marks.

Online entries are now open and closes midnight, Thursday 5 October.

Congratulations - Greater Armidale Fun Run
Recording breaking runs


It was another fantastic event for the third annual Greater Armidale Fun Run. Thanks to Roberts & Morrow 10km, Greater 5km and Armidale Sportspower 2km for children as well as Sport UNE for hleping this event continue to grow, with over 400 runners this year.

Our very own Scott Westcott took off almost four and a half minutes off the previous record to finish in a blistering time of 31.49 minutes. Thank you to also to all our volunteers including Race Director Jay Stone of the Armidale Athletics Club. See you again next year - first Sunday of November!

 

Winter Harriers Meeting
Thursday 19 November, SOPAC


 
The annual Winter Harriers meeting will be at 6.30pm on Thursday 19 November in the Grand Prix Rm at SOPAC. The meeting’s agenda and supporting documents will be circulated to your club contact person via email.

NSW Treloar Shield Pointscore
Updating Rankings

 
After 3 rounds of the 2015 NSW Treloar Shield, UTS Norths lead the way followed by Sydney University and Asics Wests tied for 2nd  and Sydney Pacific and Cherrybrook tied for 4th place.

NSW Relay Championships
14-15 November, Blacktown

The largest track and field relay competition in Australia will be held at the Blacktown International Sports Park on the 14 to 15 November 2015. The event information including the draft timetable can be found here 

Contact your club if you want to join a team and be part of the best club versus club competition of the summer!

Australian Athletes top performances
IPC World Championships, Doha
After ten days of competition the International Paralympic Committee World Athletics Championships came to an end in Doha overnight. NSW athletes won five medals with Angie Ballard leading the way with three. The youthful group, which included five teenagers, set one championship records, eight Oceania/Australian records and five personal bests. With a year to the Paralympics, a number of the athletes are capable of moving up to a podium finish in Rio. Read more.

Live in camps at Sydney Olympic Park

Little Athletics NSW and Athletics NSW are Teaming up again to provide Dual aged athletes with an exciting opportunity to spend a weekend in a live-in athletics camp.

There are several camps planned over the coming months. To register for these camps you will need to be a dual registered athletes and join the JETS program.

Ryde Rollercoaster Fun Run, Putney
Sunday 8 November

A 3.2 km Rollercoaster Fun Run, which starts at Bennelong Park, Putney, takes a series of steep uphills and downhills sections that provide a short yet gruelling run or an energising walk!

Profits go to Royal Rehab and Bairo Pite. Prize money for Open Men and Women includes $750 for first place.

NSWPTL's biggest Pro event - entries close Sunday 1 November 
There's plenty on with the NSW Professional Track League, with these
three major Gifts on in the coming weeks.

Randwick Gift, Sat 7 Nov: 110m with $500 prize money,
held in conjunction with the NSW 3000m championships at ES Marks Field.

Macksville Gift, Sat 14 Nov:  $5000 main event with Junior, Masters and Womens events.
Plus entertainment includes fireworks and street parade.

Queanbeyan Gift,
Sat 21 - Sun 22 Nov: Over $45,000 in prize money. $18,000 men and women's Gifts. Only second to the Stawell Gift for participation money! 

Dubbo Roadshow
14-15 November 2015

Calling on all Members, Clubs and supporters in the North West of NSW to join us for the Athletics NSW and Little Athletics NSW Roadshow in Dubbo on 14-15 November.

These roadshows are a joint initiative between Athletics NSW and Little Athletics NSW, providing club development; coach, athlete and officiating updating; and athletics teaching for coaches, athletes, administrators and officials.
