Welcome to spring and welcome to a new Committee member, Ricci Cheah is filling a casual vacancy, at the AGM in October Ricci will nominate for the Coaching position. Ricci coaches at SOPA and has a breadth of Archery experience.

There are a lot of moving parts in the archery community at this time, the Constitution is still under review, ANSW policy framework is nearing completion, we are right in the middle of the competition season, teams are being selected for Nationals and new clubs and facilities are being discussed with different Councils and the State Government.

ANSW objectives are to promote the sport across all of NSW, the team at ANSW are open to your feedback on any topic and we are here to help clubs grow & prosper.

2016 Event Calendar

Clubs are invited to provide and Expression of Interest (EOI) in hosting future ANSW events. Clubs are also asked at this time to add their events to the 2016 ANSW calendar.

Form HERE and return by 1st November 2015

The event strategy to have clubs hosts the target events as well as the Indoor, Field & Clout events has already been an incredible success. The 720 Championships held by SOPA, Indoor Championships held by Shirewood & Short Course held last weekend by Northern have all run smoothly. ANSW has run at a break even and host clubs have made a little money to invest back into their clubs.

In 2016 small clubs are encouraged to work with larger clubs to host events together, share the work load and the spoils.

Clubs in the following area have access to special event funding to attract events to these regions. If you are thinking about how to host an event in these areas please call the team at ANSW to discuss. • Port Macquarie • Great Lakes • Port Stephens • Bathurst • Wollongong • Shoalhaven.
