July Update 2015
Congratulations to Shirewood Forrest Archers on a very successful indoor Championships with 171 competitors. The sport has a great future when a club that is less than 2 years old can host such a great event.
We are now into the second half of the year and about to start competition season. The Short Course, Field & Target Championship events are all now open for entries.
The Club Coaches and Archery Instructors courses have both produced new Instructors and Club Coaches, congratulations to those that have joined the coaching ranks.
ANSW Advisory Council
Change is both inevitable and essential if Archery as a sport is to grow. Throughout the year I have sort advice from several knowledgeable, experienced and wise people. I am pleased to be able to formalise this support by announcing the creation of the ANSW Advisory Council. The Council will support the ANSW Committee of Management with advice and guidance. The collective wisdom of the council will help the CoM as a collective and individual members, make informed decisions for the benefit of clubs and archers. Thank you to the council members who have agreed to support ANSW by sharing their knowledge and wisdom.

ANSW Youth Development Program
The first meeting to discuss the direction of the ANSW Youth Development Program produced a unanimous agreement that ANSW should have a program. The group will meet again shortly. If you would like to join the email@example.com The working paper will be online soon.
If you have not already found ANSW on Facebook take a look -HERE. To help attract new members to the sport ANSW is ready to expand its social media strategy. ANSW is looking for one member from each club to support the ANSW Facebook page with a weekly post about what’s going in at your club. Min Age 16, support from your club would good. Contact us on FB if you want to help.
Open Team Selection - Policy Review
To date ANSW have only received two verbal submissions. If you would like your say please send any submissions to: firstname.lastname@example.org or call.
This remains a problem for ANSW and its member clubs. ANSW strongly urge competitive archers to talk to your clubs about the impact a lack of judges will have on this sport medium to long term. Without judges there are no competitions? Clubs with competitive archers should look to be able to supply a Judge for competitions.
Please register your interest to be a judge here. When we have 4 people ready we will run the course.
