NSW Snowsports and ESS Performance Open Day
NSW Snowsports has joined with ESS to introduce NSW Snowsports Member Athletes to the ESS Performance Program.
ESS Performance is a leading provider of Sports Medicine, Training and Rehabilitation Services. ESS Performance offers athlete development programs using leading sports medicine clinicians and high performance trainers committed to ensuring athletes reach optimal performance. Whether you are a professional or aspiring athlete looking to gain a competitive edge in your chosen sport, the ESS Performance specialist team provides the best support and care available.
NSW Snowsports wish to invite all NSW Snowsports athletes aged 13 years and over to come along to a FREE open day on either Saturday 2nd May - 2pm to 4pm or Sunday 3rd May - 10am to 12 noon. There will also be a FREE Parent Information Session.

**Athletes who attend the Open Day sessions will be offered the opportunity to attend a 3 week trial of the ESS Athlete Development Program.
NSW Snowsports Club Membership and Insurance Now Available
NSW Snowsports is pleased to provide our Broadform Liability Insurance for Public Risk for you Club or Association, underwritten by Coverforce. The policy has been specifically designed to meet the needs of our Snowsports Clubs, by covering a range of activities, and events, including the volunteers, officials and participants.
NSW Snowsports Club’s membership and insurance cover/s for the period 1 May 2015 to 30 April 2016.
NSW Snowsports strives to maintain an affordable Insurance Policy for our Clubs and Associations. Our General Public Liability Insurance premiums have remained fixed for 2015, which includes the $20 million General Liability Cover required by Perisher and Thredbo for all Snowsports Events. Optional, Not for Profit Organisation Liability Insurance (Management Liability) and Professional Indemnity insurance for coaches is also available on request.
NSW Snowsports - Annual General Meeting
The NSW Snowsports 2015 Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 25th of March 2015.
With a quorum present, the board reflected on the success of the 2014 Snow Season for the Association, Disciplines, and Athletes.
4 nominations were received for the 4 available director positions. The NSW Snowsports Board welcomed back Toni Hulme, Mel Johnston, as well as Annette Pilat in her new elected position as a NSW Snowsports Director. Our board also welcomes our newest director Craig Hammond.
NSW Alpine Term 2 Weekly Fitness Training Sessions
Term 2 Weekly fitness training sessions - North Sydney and Jindabyne - Registrations now open
Registrations are NOW OPEN for the Term 2, weekly pre season fitness training sessions in North Sydney and Jindabyne
The sessions will be conducted by Sami Kennedy Sim in Sydney and Manuela Berchtold in Jindabyne.

NSW Alpine in conjunction with the National Alpine Committee, Thredbo Ski Racing and the Perisher Winter Sports Club present the Alpine and SX Strength and Conditioning Clinic to be held at the Sydney Academy of Sport April 17th-19th.

Whistler Cup 2015 Results
Norway was the overall winning national team at Whistler 2015, but our TSRC athletes achieved some wonderful results. Congratulations to all our athletes on their solid performances and a special congratulations to our podium placegetters Sami Gaul and Madi Hoffman.

SSA Futures - NSWXC Dryland Training
The SSA Futures: X-Country Dryland Sessions will aim to introduce developing athletes to National Team training techniques and to outline the Australian XC Skiing Athlete Pathway. Athletes will benefit from expert coaching from national level coaches and athletes.
Following the Futures Camp interested athletes can consider joining the NSW Cross Country program which offers on-going dryland training & on-snow training & racing in July School Holidays.

Perisher Cross Country (PXC) in conjunction with Snowsports ACT invites you to: Come and Try Cross Country Skiing
Ever wanted to try Cross Country Skiing or learn new techniques and skills? In 2015 there are two opportunities to COME AND TRY CROSS COUNTRY SKIING AT PERISHER; Saturday July 4 and Sunday July 19.
Open to everyone who is new to Cross Country Skiing! Each session is $10 per participant.
The day involves a two hour lesson from 9.00am - 11.00am by professional ski instructors, a BBQ lunch and tour of the trails in the afternoon. Please arrive by 8.30am to be graded into groups.
Participants will need to bring their own cross country equipment. Equipment can be hired from Mountain Adventure Centre (Jindabyne) , Wilderness Sports (Jindabyne & Perisher) or Rhythm Sports (Cooma).

Perisher Cross Country(PXC) is an organised community of volunteers who love their sport and want to see others using skis to enjoy the wonders of the subalpine and alpine landscape under a blanket of snow. The Scots College Snowsports Second Hand Clothing and Equipment Sale
This is organised by The Scots College Snowsports Association and held at The Scots College, but in conjunction with us we have invited over the past year or so, Kambala, Ascham and Cranbrook Schools to join in to make it a real community Event. This is happening again this year, on Sunday 26 April. The Poster for this is attached below.
