Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of NSW Snowsports will be held on Wednesday 25th March 2015 beginning at 6.45pm.
The Meeting is to be held at:

2015 SERAS Scholarships - Now Open!
The 2015 SERAS Scholarships are now open. Nominations close Friday 13th of March 2015
About SERAS:
The South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) exists to:
Identify talented young athletes from within the south east region of NSW;
Provide access to high performance sport development programs; and
Encourage athletes to reach their full potential in their chosen sport.
Scholarship Program:
Scholarship holders will be required to undergo an online induction process, attend two weekend training camps in the ACT, and attend a Mayoral Reception if resident within the SERAS region.
2015 NSWOC Athlete Grant
The New South Wales Olympic Council (NSWOC) is pleased to announce the continuation of the Athlete Grant Program.
This year, the NSWOC will distribute five $1, 500 cash grants to ‘up and coming’ junior NSW athletes in 2015.
The focus of this program is to provide increased opportunities and assist with the funding for the development of young, ‘up and coming’ NSW athletes. The program has been created to reach athletes outside of the NSWIS scholarship program and those that are not already receiving significant support from their State, National Sporting Bodies or third parties.
Media & Communications Workshop
Female cross country ski athletes, coaches, officials, administrators & supporting mums…We need your help to ‘talk up’ XC skiing…raise our media profile and get more people & sponsors on skinny skis!
Come along to The Media & Communications Skills Workshop, organised by the Ski & Snowboard Australia, National Cross Country Committee and funded by the Australian Sports Commission’s Women Leaders in Sport Program Sports Media Communications specialist, Alice Wheeler, is the guest speaker and other presenters include, James Bennett (ABC Reporter) & Michelle Armstrong (Communications Consultant).
NSW Biathletes Form Australia's First International Relay Teams!
NSW Cross Country’s young biathletes have performed very credibly this Northern Hemisphere winter. Two relay teams at the highest level were able to be formed at IBU (International Biathlon Union) World Junior Championships and European Championships.
This is the first time ever Australia has been able to qualify relay teams and be at a high enough standard to have those relay teams compete internationally. The Youth Girls Team (U19) was made up of Gabrielle Hawkins, Sabrina Howell and Darcie Morton – with all these girls still being 17 or under. The girls finished ahead of 14th placed Latvia.

Mogul Skis for 2015
Now that life is returning to normal, it’s time to think about how your ski equipment has fared.
Idone Australia – will be placing orders for ski equipment in April for arrival in October ready for your next trip overseas. Some of the order may arrive in time for our winter but we can NOT rely on this. If you know you need, or you think you might need new skis, bindings or poles before you travel overseas again please order NOW to avoid disappointment next November.

Hart Skis – will be placing orders for new mogul skis in March for the 2015 Australian season. A price list and contact details will be forwarded to the Freestyle community in the coming weeks.
