Presidents Piece

On behalf of the Board of MSWA I would like to thank all participants, officials, volunteers and supporters who made the LiveLighter 2014 State Championships such a great success. The two day event ran smoothly and had a good friendly feel to it.

Feedback received at the awards presentations was that the meet was run superbly by Peter Maloney and Sandra Mutch with fantastic support from the Technical Officials team lead by Ron Gray.

Extra special thanks needs to go to the volunteer marshalling team who worked so hard all weekend whilst assisting members to self-marshal.  Additionally the announcing team of Ivan Martinovich and Life Member Glenys McDonald did a wonderful job in keeping everyone informed, entertained and on track.

I want to thank all Clubs for your enthusiasm for the event and providing volunteers for timekeeping and other jobs when required.  Special thanks to the country members who travelled a long way to participate in the weekends swim.  Lastly congratulations to both Beatty Park on winning Top Club and also to all age group winners.

Gary Bradley - President
