Committee Members Needed

Our committee has had a busy winter working to secure valuable sponsorship, identifying where improvements to the club can be made and ensuring a successful summer season ahead.

Our committee consists of the following hard working parents:

  • President – Nerel Ezra
  • Vice President – Andrew License
  • Secretary – Jake Gossan
  • Treasurer – Rob Tucker
  • Registrar – Cazz Walkley
  • Sponsorship – Matt Tucker
  • Uniforms – Margie Gumley
  • Volunteers – Ben Hahnel
  • Coaching – Ross De Valle

Parents are the driving force behind Little Athletics and their role as committee members, age group managers, coaches and volunteers is fundamental to the success of the program. Whilst our committee is fresh and strong, many cover several roles so we are hoping to share the load and welcome new helpers. If you have ideas and opinions about CMLAC we strongly encourage your participation on the Committee.

Avaliable roles include:

  • First Aid Officer
  • Communications Manager
  • Canteen Manager
  • Gantry Manager – involves operating our computers and managing our timing gates which record the results at the finish line.
  • Graphic Designer – to assist with marketing
  • Website Manager
  • Equipment and Facilities Manager
  • Relays Manager
  • On Track Co-ordinator

Remember it is your Committee and Centre, your involvement is important. Kids love their parents being involved so this is your opportunity to help them be their best and be part of a committee that has helped make this one of the more successful Little Athletics clubs in Australia.

Each age group requires a Relay Manager. Please consider nominating for your child’s age group and find out how rewarding it is to give back to our kids. If you are interested in being a Relay Manager, please contact Nerel Ezra via nerel@bigpond.com or 0410 324 191

Sponsorship

We are pleased to announce several new sponsors this season so stay tuned for important updates.

We are always looking for new sponsorship opportunities from our community and local organisations. Our annual membership fees ensure that the club is able to break even each year so we rely on sponsorship to provide the financial injection required to continue to be sustainable in the long term.

Sponsorship ensures the club can:

  • Welcome all families in our community by keeping fees accessible
  • Maintain our equipment to the highest safety standards
  • Provide top quality coaches to those members who strive to participate in Regional and State events.

Our sponsorship options range from $500 to $5000 and provides access to a community of healthy, young families from the Eastern suburbs. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities at Camberwell Malvern or can provide contacts within the local community, please contact Matt Tucker via matthew.tucker@little.com.au or 0409 001 271

Go Fund Me

Over the winter months, our committee has identified a number of areas of improvement including upgrading some of our equipment to ensure the smooth running of each Saturday program and also to be able to develop all athletes to the best of their abilities. We have made significant purchases including new high jump scissor kick mats giving us a total of five high jump mats to use each Saturday as well as more shot puts and discuses which will reduce wait times. Whilst our membership fees ensures the club breaks even each year, these significant purchases need to be funded.

To this end, the club has set up a Go Fund Me page which can be accessed HERE

All donations of $100 or more will include your family or business name printed on one of our new hurdles to be unveiled at the start of the 2019/2020 season.
