Saturday 13th October Program

Volunteer Roster

Camberwell Malvern is about family, fun and fitness. To run a successful program, the centre needs the support and involvement of parents in voluntary roles. Parent volunteers ensure the success of our club both on and off track. This can be through assisting your Age Group Manager to measure, record, rake and marshall our children or supporting the running of the club with set up and pack up.

No one likes doing set up or pack up. Each Saturday an age group is rostered on to perform this task. On Saturday, 13 October U/10 families are on duty. This means that if you have a child in that age group you will be required to arrive at 8am to assist with set up or stay behind at the completion of the meet and assist with pack up. Failure to assist may result in your child’s results being withheld.

Please refer to the following roster for October and make note whether your age group is required to set up or pack up

Date Age Group Rostered for Set Up & Pack Up
Saturday 13th October U/10
Saturday 20th October U/12, U/13, U/14, U/6
Saturday 27th October U/9

Training

Optional training is available on Wednesday afternoons at Righetti Oval from 4:45pm. Children aged 8 and over can develop their skills in running, jumping and throwing in a safe, fun and supportive environment. Training commences on Wednesday, 10th October.

Pre-registration Days

To avoid the queue on Saturday morning, bibs and tshirts can be collected on Wednesday, 10 October 4:30pm – 5:30pm.

Relays

Relays are not just for the fastest runners, they are a team event open to all registered CMLAC athletes - so join in!

Camberwell Malvern participates in 3 relay events during the season:

  • Box Hill Relay Day – Sunday, 28 October – this is a great warm up event for our teams prior to Regionals.
  • Eastern Metropolitan Regional Relays – 17 November at Doncaster
  • State Relays (hopefully) – 15 December - teams must qualify at EMR to compete at State Championships at Lakeside.

Relay training commences on Sunday, 14 September at Righetti Oval from 9-10am.

Like any other event, parents are asked to complete a duty on the day or pay for a club organised replacement. Costs for relay entry per person is $25. Camberwell Malvern competition uniforms must be worn at these events. These uniforms go on sale on Saturday 20 October

To register your interest in Relays please add your details to this google sheet.
