Please make note of key dates and events.

1. Come and Try Day – Saturday 6 October

Our Come and Try Day will be held on Saturday, 6 October from 8:45am with the following program on offer.

Whilst there is no timing on this day, it is a great opportunity to reunite with friends, enjoy our abridged program and experience on-track skills based games for our u6 athletes.

There is no age group rostered on for the Come and Try Day but we need all hands on deck for set up from 7:45am and pack down from 11:00am.

2. Age Group Managers

Thank to those members who have already volunteered to manage an age group for the 2018/19 season. To ensure a successful start to the season, we are seeking Age Group Managers for the following age groups:

  • U6 Boys
  • U8 Boys
  • U9 Girls
  • U11 Girls and Boys
  • U12+ Girls

Remember : No Age Group Manager = No events

Age Group Managers are responsible for providing an environment where young athletes learn and develop. Age Group Managers take their group of athletes to each of their events, make sure the athletes understand each event and line them up ready to go. Each Age Group Manager is supported by parent helpers each week.

If you are able to assist, please contact Kristen Davey at Kristen.davey@gedeonrichter.com.au

Camberwell Malvern is pleased to offer optional weekly training with experienced coacheson Wednesday from 4:45pm at Righetti Oval. The primary focus is on developing jumping, running and throwing skills together with general conditioning in an age appropriate way. This training is suitable for children aged 8 and older.

5. Relays

Inter club competition in the first half of the season prior to the Summer break focuses on relays. These events provide an opportunity for athletes aged under 9 and older to participate in team events and to learn relay skills. Relays also allow athletes and their families to form lasting friendships that are crucial to the development of all athletes. The centre always performs well in relays, both at a Regional and State level. Our athletes enjoy competing in teams and cheering on club mates. Training is conducted on Sunday mornings from 9am at Righetti Oval commencing 14 October. Our first competition will be at a Box Hill Friendly Meet on Sunday, 28 October.

To register your interest in Relays please add your details to this google sheet.
