In this issue of Athletics in Action  we talk to NZ long jump record holder and former Olympian Chantal Brunner about her experience at the recently completed World Masters Games in her home town of Auckland, we chat to Athletics NZ HP Development Leader Tim Driesen about the two development squads under his wing and we catch up with NZ women’s sprint champion Zoe Hobbs  for our “Five minutes with …” segment.
Since our last issue, we’ve held the iconic Rotorua Marathon in the thermal capital of NZ with over 5100 people taking part in the various events, from the children’s mini-marathon to the full lap of the lake marathon. Surplus funds from Rotorua Marathon go straight into programmes and services offered by Athletics NZ including coaching and club development . We’ve also held the NZ 100km Championships in Christchurch.
The biggest NZ championship event to be contested in New Zealand this winter, the NZ Secondary Schools Cross Country Champs is just four weeks away.

There's much more news in this issue of Athletics in Action, so keep reading.
