2015 NSW Snowsports Membership and Renewals - Now OpenWhether you're competing in various State/National Events, coaching or being coached, participating in an SSA Program or just a supporter of Skiing and Snowboarding in Australia, you can join Ski & Snowboard Australia and NSW Snowsports via the SSA Website http://www.skiandsnowboard.org.au/. There are a number of options available, athletes and supporters should check there particular discipline requirements with respect to the most suitable race licence to purchase and for what events it is required. |

2015 Amelia Junior Sprint Time Trial - Enter Now!The Amelia XC Time Trails and Team Sprints are both a fundraiser for the Amelia McGuiness Foundation and a chance to gain valuable event experience under race conditions before the Interschools and other Junior XC competitions. An individual XC Time Trial will be conducted near the Nordic Shelter. The course will be determined on race day dependant upon snow conditions and therefore the distance could vary from 400 to 1,000 metres. Date: Sunday 5th July 2015 Please click here to enter now! Perisher XC 2015 - Looking Forward to Winter!Winter is here, it is cold, the Nordic Shelter is fresh and refurbished and the trails have been trimmed and fine-tuned. NSW Freestyle Supporters PackThe NSW Freestyle Supporters Pack is now available via the NSW Freestyle Team App, at the Team Store. The Pack includes lots of branded items such as a buff, hat, stickers, drink bottle, sunscreen and more from our sponsors. We only have a limited number available so please grab them before they sell out. Pick up will be from Jindabyne over the first few weeks of the season. |

Book Now - Jindabyne School Holiday Training SessionsNSW Freestyle, will be running trampoline classes throughout the coming school holidays. Coaches will include Nicole Parks and other high level instructors with a focus on freestyle snowsports. We will be aiming to keep small groups of less than 6 athletes to ensure maximum individual attention. The Olympic trampolines, twisting belts, and other high level equipment will be fully utilised at Jindabyne Sport and Rec. Classes will start on Monday 22nd June and will run every Monday, Thursday and Saturday afternoon. All sessions are from 4:30pm to 6pm, except Thursday 25th June which will run 5:45pm to 7:15pm. Bookings are essential. Numbers are limited and preference will be given to athletes who book a full holiday pack. Pricing is as follows: Single Session - $30 Full Week (3 sessions) - $75 Holiday Pack (9 sessions) - $180 Snowsports athletes are invited to attend including snowboard, slopestyle and mogul athletes. FIS Freestyle Technical Delegate Course - 2015NSW Freestyle will host a FIS Technical Delegate (TD) course this 2015 Australian winter season at the Jindabyne Sport and Recreation Centre. Cost: $100.00 per person The TD course will run in 3 Labs. |

Alpine Skiing Level 1 Officials' Course - JindabyneThis officially recognised training course is aimed at parents, teachers, coaches and volunteers who may be assisting at Interschools, Club, SSA or FIS Alpine races. The 2.5 hr course covers the role of the official, race safety, race rules, race organisation, time keeping and use of radio communications. It is aimed at both new volunteers and those who accreditation has expired and need a refresher course (those accredited prior to 2009). |

NSW Alpine - Training Program Booklets for AthletesMay / June - Strength and Condition Booklets Below are the updated Strength and Condition Booklets for May / June, for use by all our Alpine and Skier Cross competitors and Race club members. Ages: Click here for the Booklet for U14/12 Strength and Conditioning Transition Program Click here for the Booklet for U21/16 Strenght and Conditioning Transition Program Please note: this is a generic program as it should be used as an guide. Each child/athlete has different school sport commitment. These are minimum sessions and might be complemented with school sport activities. Parents should also be advised to ensure their children have recovery days as well. Every child/athlete will improve their fitness levels if he/she follows this program. U21-U16 should look into purchasing TRX (as seen in the program) and Skiers Edge as a great fitness equipment to get ready for skiing. |

NSWIS - 2015-2020 Corporate Plan NSW Snowsports is a member of the NSWIS/OWIA Joint Management Committee that provides elite level program support and scholarships to Snowsports athletes who are on the pathway to represent Australia at Olympic Winter Games, World Championships and World Cup. The NSW Institute of Sport (NSWIS) has recently released its 2015-2020 Corporate Plan which outlines its purpose and vision and how it operates. NSW Snowsports members and in particular athletes who are aspiring to represent Australia are encouraged to read the Corporate Plan and gain an understanding of how NSWIS operates. |

The Scots Race2015 is the 20th Anniversary of the first Scots Race. This year it is on Monday 6 July, at Perisher. This Event is open to all individuals, boys and girls from any School, including Parents and siblings of Competitors for Ski and Snowboard events. Full details are in the Flyer below.
