Cross Country Working Bee Report

The final scheduled working bee was held last weekend, May 2 & 3. We are fortunate to have such a generous cross country community that we can count on to take part in the infrastructure development.  We have had 4 weekend sessions this year, approx. 40 individuals attended the working bees providing at least 600 man hrs of volunteer labour.

The trails will be ready to go with the first reasonable snowfall. Bridges are covered, temporary drainage systems are installed, lots of rocks modified, i.e. the top taken off to just below ground level. Quite a lot of time was spent on replacing and marking poles on all trails including Porcupine, wooded regrowth has been removed from the trail surface.
