SERAS Scholarship - Closes Tomorrow!Applications are now open for the South East Regional Academy of Sport (SERAS) Snowsports Scholarship Program, which is run in partnership with NSW Snowsports and Snowsports ACT, and offers annual scholarships to athletes aged between 13 and 18 years of age (in the scholarship year e.g. 2014) depending on their discipline. Competitive athletes from alpine, cross country, freestyle moguls, snowboarding and ski cross are eligible to nominate for a scholarship. The scholarship provides talented young athletes with education on sports psychology, exercise physiology, media skills, public speaking, sports nutrition, time management, and sports medicine. Athletes will also attend snowsports specific weekend training camps to undertake fitness testing and strength and conditioning programs. Applications for the 2014 SERAS Snowsports Program close on 11 October 2013. |

NSW Alpine Pre Northern Season Fitness Testing and Programming DayA fitness testing and programming day and weekly training sessions are being organised by NSW Alpine for all Alpine (includes Ski X) members and members of TSRC and PSWC. The sessions are being offered to all participants at subsidized rates. These sessions provide important preparatio for those training and racing in the northern season and also for those who want to keep up their fitness over summer. |

Ski and Snowboard Australia Interschools School AwardsSSA holds an Annual Awards Ceremony in Melbourne recognising outstanding performances within the Snow Sports industry. To acknowledge all levels of competitive racing, and to highlight an outstanding or unique school, SSA presents two awards to schools within the Interschools Snowsports program.
These awards are open to all schools participating in Interschools from NSW, ACT, QLD, SA and VIC. State nominations will be judged by State Interschools Committees and the state winners will be put forward to SSA for final judging for the national winners. |
