NSW Snowsports Annual General Meeting - Wednesday 27th March 2013
Notice is hereby given that the Annual General Meeting of NSW Snowsports will be held on Wednesday 27th March 2013 beginning at 6.45pm.

Alpine & SX Strength & Conditioning Clinic - Registrations Now Open
26th-28th April, Sydney Academy of Sport, Narrabeen
A residential two and a half day strength and conditioning camp is being organised for the 26th - 28th April at the Sydney Academy of Sport facility at Narrabeen led by Manfred Wolscher.
The camp is open to all registered Alpine athletes (including Skier X) from Children (born 2003 onwards) to FIS age competitors.
There will be separate programs for Children and Junior/Open age groups.

NSWXC Celebrates Excellence, Participation & Contribution
The NSW Cross Country Committee recently held its annual XC Presentations to recognize the contributions of XC Volunteers and Supporters and the participation and accomplishments of NSWXC athletes of all ages.
The evening began with the NSW XC Masters Series Draw – a hat draw of those who participated in the required number of 2012 XC events. And the lucky, hard-skiing winners were:
A Long Weekend for 4 at Crackenback Resort – Brooke Darlington
A Long Weekend for 2 at Crackenback Resort – Matt Carkeet
NPWS Annual Park Entry Pass – Warren McCourt
Free entry in the 2013 XC Masters Series events – Bruce Wharrie
The next very special awards were presented to the XC Volunteer and Supporter of the Year. These are not competitive awards, but recognize the contributions of all volunteers and supporters who make the sport what it is:

Summer Training Commences for Cross CountryNSWXC athletes began their summer training at a Camp in Jindabyne last weekend. The Camp which provided live-in accommodation at the Canberra Alpine Club for athletes travelling from Sydney was a great success. Head Coach for the weekend, Ben Sim put the athletes through their paces in a weekend that included a 1500m time-trial, roller ski technique and distance skiing, hill bounding and a visit to the Nordic Shelter so the athletes could see how their race tracks looked in the summer and the preparation that needs to be undertaken to turn dry-grassland in summer into a winter wonderland! The weekend also included the NSWXC 2011-12 season presentation evening with Callum Watson, Alex Almoukov and Matt Bull being recognised for their great performances over the AUS winter |

Apply now for a Local Sporting Champions GrantApply now for a Local Sporting Champions grant! Are you, or do you know, a dedicated young athlete, coach or official participating in a state, national or international sporting championships? Are you aged 12-18 years old travelling further than 125km to your event for a state, national or international championships? If yes, then you or your team could be eligible for an Australian Government Local Sporting Champions grant to help meet costs such as uniforms, travel, accommodation and equipment. Grants of $500 per individual and $3,000 per team are available for young people participating in the following:
