NSW Snowsports has implemented a number of policies, plans and forms to protect our members, athletes and stakeholders.

Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO)
NSW Snowsports have recently nominated Rebecca Masterton as our Member Protection Information Officer (MPIO).
Member Protection Information Officers are the first point of contact within a sporting organisations for any person considering making a complaint under the Member Protection Policy. MPIOs provide confidential, impartial and timely information and support. They act as a sounding board and provide information about the local complaint resolution options available to address the individual’s concerns. MPIOs are not advocates but they may elect to accompany complainants, if requested, to talk with someone else.

Cross Country News
Both senior and Junior NSWXC athletes are well represented in the recently announced Australian National Cross Country Teams for 2012-13.
World Cup Cross Country athlete, Callum Watson and dual National Cross Country and Biathlon Representative, Alex Almoukov leads the way with both these athletes also achieving the No 1 (Almoukov) and No 2 (Watson) male distance ranking for 2012. 2014 Olympic aspirant Aimee Watson has been selected to the AUS Continental Cup Team which is a great result for Aimee as she continues her come-back trail from injury over the past 12mths.
In the Junior ranks, 18yr old Junior Lucy Glanville leads the NSW Junior women’s qualification with Lucy being selected to both the National Women’s XC Team and the National Junior Women’s Team.
Alpine News
Alpine - Pre Northern Season Training
To assist children and FIS athletes prepare for the northern season or to assist with summer off season fitness, NSW Alpine and the NAC are organising subsidized training sessions for all NSW Alpine members (includes Skier Cross). ACT athletes are also invited to attend.
Registration details are as follows:
Sydney:
Training Sessions: Sunday mornings from 21st Oct to end Nov, PCYC, Falcon St, North Sydney
**Athletes born 98 and younger 8.30am-10am
**Athletes born 97 and older 10am-11.30am
Jindabyne:
Training Sessions: 7am Friday mornings, from 19th Oct or end Nov, High Country Fitness Gym

NSW Biathletes Qualify for Natiional Team
For the first time ever, Australian Biathlon has selected a National Biathlon Team and will be sending endorsed World Cup and IBU Cup Teams to competitions in Europe this season. Following on from the successful forming of Biathlon in NSW as a State Sporting Organisation, NSW biathletes are well represented on National Biathlon Teams.

Australian Biathlon has also taken a new initiative to encourage the development of Biathlon in Australia with the following NSW biathletes selected to the Australian Biathlon Development Team:

25th Interschools Snowsports Anniversary - Event Details
The NSW Interschools Snowsports 25th Anniversary Cocktail Party is this Saturday! We are all very excited and can't wait to catch up to celebrate 25 years of memories, events and hard work.
Details for the night are as follows:
Venue: Blue Room Sydney Harbour
Dress: Cocktail (This would include a lovely dress or pant outfit for ladies. Nice pants and shirt or suit for men).
Time: 5.50pm - 10.15pm **This boat will disembark at 6.10pm sharp. Please ensure you are there by 5.50pm
Arrival Time: At King Street Wharf - Bay 9 @ 5.50pm **Bay 9 is located outside of Cargo Bar, just north of Sydney Aquarium/MadameTussauds. See Map!
Boarding: At King Street Wharf - Bay 9 @ 6.10pm
Returning: At King Street Wharf - Bay 9 @ 10.15pm
